Automatic Operation Fiber Disc Filter Continuous Online Backwash Low Maintenance For Water Treatment
Brief Description
The fully automatic fiber disc filter completes automatic filtration, level-triggered backwash and periodic sludge discharge via PLC programming. No full-time on-site operator is required. It consumes little backwash water and cuts daily operating costs.
Product Overview
This submerged fiber disc filter is fitted with a complete automatic electric control system. Backwash is triggered by real-time liquid level signals inside the tank. The equipment runs continuously without shutdown during cleaning. It adopts separately replaceable fan-shaped filter screens. Polyurethane wear-resistant sealing components simplify routine maintenance, making it suitable for long-term unattended water polishing projects.

Working Principle
Gravity-fed raw water flows into the filter tank. Suspended solid particles are trapped by the microfiber filter cloth. Clean water permeates into the central hollow drum for discharge. As intercepted sludge accumulates, the liquid level in the tank rises to the preset backwash level. The PLC automatically activates the suction backwash unit. The filter disc rotates slowly; the negative-pressure suction box strips sludge from the filter cloth surface while filtration remains ongoing. Sludge at the tank bottom is discharged on an adjustable timed cycle. Multiple safety protection logics are built into the control program.
Key Design & Performance Features
1.PLC fully automatic control: filtration, backwash and sludge discharge operate automatically with multi-protection functions. No dedicated operator is needed for daily operation.
2.Online backwash without process interruption; backwash water rate is less than 1%.
3.Individual fan-shaped filter screens can be replaced separately without disassembling the entire disc assembly.
4.Wear-resistant polyurethane rotary sealing ring, easy to inspect and replace spare parts.
5.13–18mm fiber pile height on filter cloth enables thorough sludge removal during suction cleaning and extends the service life of filter cloth.
Applications
1.Tertiary treatment of municipal wastewater
2.Side-stream filtration for circulating cooling water
3.Washing water preparation
4.Industrial process water polishing for unattended stations
