Chain Driven Sludge Scraper for Rectangular Sedimentation Tanks
Brief Description
The chain driven sludge scraper is designed for sludge collection in rectangular sedimentation tanks used in municipal water supply and wastewater treatment plants. Its continuous chain-driven operation moves settled sludge toward the designated collection area, while the compact drive system and lightweight scraper components support efficient operation and convenient maintenance.
Product Overview
The chain driven sludge scraper is a mechanical sludge removal system developed for rectangular sedimentation tanks. It uses a reduction gearbox, drive chains, and scraper flights to continuously collect settled sludge from the tank bottom and transport it toward the sludge discharge area.
The circulating chain mechanism enables continuous operation along a fixed path without frequent changes in direction. The drive unit is installed on the platform above the tank, providing convenient access for inspection, electrical connections, and routine maintenance.
With its simplified mechanical structure and low energy consumption, this rectangular tank sludge scraper is suitable for sedimentation processes requiring reliable sludge collection and stable operation.
Working Principle
The chain driven sludge scraper operates through a circulating chain mechanism powered by a reduction gearbox.
The gearbox drives the chains, which move the scraper flights continuously along the tank bottom. The flights push settled sludge toward the sludge collection area, where it is discharged through the designated sludge discharge channel or pumping system.
After sludge collection, the clarified water continues through the sedimentation process and flows toward the next treatment stage.
