Shaftless Spiral Conveyor with Anti-Wrapping Design for Fibrous Wastewater Screenings
Brief Description
The Shaftless Spiral Conveyor is engineered for conveying fibrous screenings and irregular solid residues generated during wastewater pretreatment. Its central-shaft-free spiral design provides additional conveying space and helps reduce material wrapping and blockage risks associated with stringy debris. It is suitable for screening waste transfer where conventional shafted screw conveyors may encounter material-handling challenges.
Product Overview
Fibrous screenings, rags, and stringy debris can create challenges for conventional conveying equipment, particularly when materials accumulate around the central shaft.
The Shaftless Spiral Conveyor addresses this issue through a spiral conveying structure without a central shaft. It is designed to transport collected screenings and other compatible solid residues along a trough or enclosed channel.
The equipment can be configured with different spiral dimensions, trough structures, drive systems, and discharge arrangements to suit the material characteristics and process layout. The shaftless design helps reduce wrapping risks but does not eliminate the possibility of blockages under unsuitable operating conditions.

Working Principle
The drive unit rotates the shaftless spiral within the conveying trough. The rotating spiral pushes incoming material toward the discharge outlet.
Without a central shaft occupying the conveying space, fibrous and irregular materials have more room to move through the channel. Conveying stability depends on appropriate equipment sizing, material feed, rotational speed, inclination, and maintenance.
