Screenings Screw Conveyor for Mechanical Bar Screen Waste Collection and Conveying
Brief Description
Designed for wastewater screening systems, the Screenings Screw Conveyor transports intercepted solids from mechanical bar screens to designated collection or disposal points. Its shaftless spiral structure is suitable for handling mixed screenings containing fibers, rags, and irregular solid debris. It can be integrated with coarse screens, fine screens, and other screening equipment to create a coordinated screenings handling system.
Product Overview
The Screenings Screw Conveyor is used downstream of mechanical screening equipment to transfer solid waste removed from wastewater.
During pretreatment, bar screens intercept debris such as rags, leaves, plastic fragments, and other solid materials. The conveyor receives these screenings from the screen discharge area or a collection hopper and transports them to a designated discharge point.
The shaftless spiral design provides a conveying channel without a central shaft, helping reduce wrapping problems associated with fibrous screenings. The equipment layout can be customized to match the screen discharge height, collection container, and available installation space.

Working Principle
Screenings discharged from the mechanical bar screen enter the conveyor through an inlet or receiving hopper. A motor and gearbox drive the shaftless spiral, which moves the collected material along the trough toward the outlet.
The discharge arrangement can be designed to transfer screenings into a collection bin, container, or subsequent handling unit. Depending on project requirements, the conveyor can be arranged horizontally or at a suitable incline.
