Shaftless Screw Conveyor for Wastewater Treatment Sludge and Screenings Conveying
Brief Description
The shaftless screw conveyor is designed for conveying screenings, dewatered sludge, and other solid residues generated during wastewater treatment. Its shaftless spiral design provides an open conveying space without a central shaft, helping reduce material wrapping around the shaft and supporting the continuous transport of challenging materials. It can be integrated with mechanical bar screens, sludge dewatering machines, and other wastewater treatment equipment.
Product Overview
The Shaftless Screw Conveyor is a material handling solution for wastewater treatment plants. It transfers collected screenings and sludge between treatment units, collection points, and discharge locations.
Unlike conventional shafted screw conveyors, the shaftless design eliminates the central shaft, providing more conveying space for fibrous and irregular materials. The conveyor can be configured with a U-shaped trough or enclosed housing according to the material characteristics, installation space, and process requirements.
The equipment can be designed for horizontal or inclined conveying, subject to the selected configuration and conveying conditions.

Working Principle
The drive unit rotates the shaftless spiral inside the conveyor trough or housing. As the spiral rotates, the material is pushed forward along the conveying channel toward the discharge outlet.
The material feed rate, conveying capacity, and discharge performance depend on the spiral diameter, rotational speed, conveyor length, inclination angle, and material properties.
