Customizable Belt Conveyor for Wastewater Treatment
Brief Description
Our PD series belt conveyor is a customizable continuous conveying equipment, adopting an endless belt as both bearing and traction member. It transmits power by friction between motorized drum and belt, delivering semi-solid sludge, grit and screenings stably. Featuring corrosion resistance and flexible customized dimensions, it is specially designed for humid and corrosive sewage workshop environments.
Product Overview
PD belt conveyors are widely matched with bar screens, grit chambers and filter presses in wastewater treatment lines to transport, stockpile and load dewatered sludge, screenings and grit. Both fixed and mobile types are available. We can customize belt width, machine length, inclination angle and driving unit according to on-site working conditions. The whole machine can be equipped with anti-corrosion coating or stainless steel frame for heavy corrosion scenarios.

Working Principle
1.Loading
Screenings and sludge from sewage treatment equipment fall onto the feeding end of the belt conveyor. The guide chute concentrates materials on the center of the belt to avoid material deviation, sludge spillage and sewage dripping.
2.Conveying
The closed loop belt wraps around head motorized drum and tail bend pulley. The tensioning device maintains proper belt tension. The motorized drum drives the belt through friction. The carrying side is supported by trough or flat idlers while return side is supported by return idlers. Materials move continuously toward the discharge end.
3.Discharging
Materials are discharged under gravity and inertia at the head drum and fall into bins or transport trucks. Optional plough discharger or tripper car is available for intermediate discharging.
Key Design & Performance Features
1.High Customization
Machine length, installation angle and belt width can be customized. Fixed or mobile type optional to meet different site layouts.
2.Corrosion & Moisture Resistance
Anti-corrosion paint or stainless steel frame optional. Wear-resistant, moisture-proof belt and anti-corrosion idlers adapt to humid sewage environment.
3.Anti-spillage & Anti-sticking
Belt cleaners fitted on head and return side to remove sticky sludge. Grooved lagging on drum prevents belt slipping under wet conditions.
4.Complete Safety Protection
Fitted with belt misalignment switches and pull rope emergency stop switches. Backstop optional for inclined conveying to prevent reverse rotation.
5.Low Maintenance
Standardized spare parts for easy replacement. Tensioning device automatically compensates belt elongation, reducing daily maintenance workload.
Applications
1.Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants
Transport screenings from bar screens, grit from grit chambers and dewatered sludge from filter presses.
2.Industrial Wastewater Treatment Projects
Convey screenings, scum and sludge from chemical, food, slaughtering and brewing wastewater pretreatment.
3.Working Conditions
Suitable for semi-solid sludge, grit and screenings. Supports continuous or intermittent operation. Fixed model requires concrete foundation; mobile model needs flat ground.
