Skid‑Mounted Automatic Chemical Dosing System
Brief Description
The skid‑mounted automatic chemical dosing system is an integrated dual‑tank dosing unit with 500 L effective volume per tank. The complete package includes SUS304 stainless‑steel conical‑bottom tanks, agitator units, variable‑frequency metering pump sets, pipe‑valve assemblies, level monitoring devices, calibration components, skid frame and electric control system. Pre‑assembled and tested in factory, the unit only requires pipe connection and power supply for on‑site commissioning. It is widely used in boiler water treatment to dissolve, store and accurately meter water‑treatment chemicals for scale inhibition, pH adjustment, chemical de‑oxygenation and anti‑corrosion protection.
Product Overview
This automatic dosing system is furnished with two 500 L SUS304 conical‑bottom tanks, each fitted with a vertical agitator for full chemical dissolution and homogenization. Variable‑frequency metering pumps are equipped together with safety valves, pulse dampers, Y‑strainers, liquid flow indicators and calibration columns. Magnetic‑flap level gauges output 4‑20 mA signal for local indication and remote level transmission.
The skid frame is welded of carbon‑steel profiles with anti‑corrosion plastic‑spray coating, integrated with access platform and service stair for convenient inspection and maintenance. The control cabinet is equipped with frequency inverters and well‑known brand low‑voltage components, supporting local manual and automatic operation. Reserved DCS signal ports enable remote monitoring via central control system.
Configurations can be adjusted for different chemical media. For volatile toxic chemicals, optional safety assemblies including gas absorber, gas leakage detector & alarm unit and safety eyewash shower are available.

Notes:
1.Optional ZJ metering pump models: GK38-67L/2.94MPa-I(II,III), JZ-80/10-I(II,III), GK38-134L/12.94MPa-I(II,III)
2.Pa (Pascal) is the pressure unit of SI measurement standard.
Working Principle
1.Solution Preparation
Chemicals are fed into dosing tanks and mixed with process water at a required ratio; agitators run continuously to produce homogeneous solution while magnetic‑flap level gauges monitor liquid level in real‑time.
2.Metered Delivery
Variable‑frequency metering pumps suck prepared solution and deliver pressurized chemical to injection points after filtration and pressure stabilization, and safety valves provide over‑pressure relief protection for the piping circuit.
3.Operation Control
The control system collects level signals and adjusts pump frequency according to external system feedback to modify dosing rate, and local manual operation mode is also available for field operation and debugging.
4.Chemical Functions
Different dosed chemicals realize corresponding process objectives including boiler‑water scale inhibition, feed‑water pH adjustment, dissolved‑oxygen removal and metal passivation & anti‑corrosion for water‑treatment systems.
5.Safety Interlock
Low‑level signal activates pump protection to avoid dry‑running damage, and the leakage detector monitors ambient conditions and triggers safety alarm under working conditions with toxic‑chemical application.
Key Design & Performance Features
1.Integrated Skid‑Mounted Design
Fully pre‑assembled in factory with integrated service platform, this structure greatly reduces on‑site installation and piping workload and shortens the whole equipment commissioning period.
2.Corrosion‑Resistant Tank Construction
Dual 500 L SUS304 conical‑bottom tanks facilitate sediment discharge, and all wetted components adopt stainless‑steel material which is compatible with various water‑treatment chemicals.
3.Variable‑Frequency Adjustable Dosing
Variable‑frequency metering pumps provide continuously adjustable flow, and complete auxiliary pipe‑valve accessories ensure stable dosing pressure and flow rate during long‑term system operation.
4.Remote Level Transmission & Flow Calibration
Magnetic‑flap level gauges output 4‑20 mA remote signal for central monitoring, and a calibration column is provided for convenient on‑site verification of actual pump output flow.
5.Flexible Intelligent Electric Control
Equipped with frequency inverters and well‑known electrical components, the control cabinet supports manual / automatic modes and a reserved DCS interface which supports data acquisition and remote control by upper‑level central system.
6.Optional Safety Configurations
For volatile and toxic‑chemical service conditions, gas absorber, leakage alarm unit and eyewash‑shower device are optional configurations to realize reliable operator safety protection.
Applications
1.Boiler‑water systems of thermal power plants and captive power stations for automatic preparation and metered injection of scale inhibitors, pH regulators and oxygen‑scavenging agents.
2.Chemical dosing treatment for feed‑water and boiler water of industrial steam boilers and waste‑heat boilers.
3.Other industrial processes such as the petrochemical industry requiring continuous and accurate metered injection of water‑treatment chemicals.
