Vertical Frame Central Drive Sludge Scraper for Radial Flow Sedimentation Tanks
Brief Description
ZCG series vertical frame central drive sludge scraper is designed for radial flow sedimentation tanks with central water inlet, peripheral water outlet and central sludge discharge. It is widely used for sludge scraping in secondary sedimentation tanks of municipal wastewater treatment plants.
Product Overview
The ZCG vertical frame central drive sludge scraper adopts central drive and vertical frame structure. Sewage flows into the diversion diffuser from the water inlet and diffuses radially evenly toward the tank periphery. Suspended sludge settles to the tank bottom. The driving device rotates the central upright column, driving the scraping arm and scraper plate to rotate, gathering sludge from the tank periphery to the central sludge hopper. Sludge is discharged out of the tank via static water pressure through the sludge discharge pipe. Floating scum on the water surface is skimmed to the tank edge by the skimming device, then pushed into the scum hopper for discharge. Supernatant flows over triangular weir plates into the outlet channel.

Working Principle
1. Wastewater enters the diversion diffuser from the central inlet and flows radially outward evenly. Suspended solids settle to the tank bottom.
2. The drive unit rotates the central vertical column, which drives scraping arms and scraper blades to revolve around the tank centre.
3. Sludge deposited on the tank floor is continuously scraped toward the central sludge hopper and discharged by hydrostatic pressure through the sludge discharge pipeline.
4. A scum skimming mechanism collects floating scum on the water surface, pushing it to the tank rim and into the scum hopper for removal.
5. Clarified supernatant passes over triangular outlet weirs and flows into the effluent channel.
