Brief Description

GMG Sludge Thickening Scraper is core equipment for square high density sedimentation tank clarification system. It achieves continuous sludge collection and in-tank thickening. Continuous operation of the scraper assembly facilitates sludge consolidation. Part of the thickened sludge is recirculated to the upstream reaction zone to maintain the high sludge concentration needed for homogeneous flocculation. Featuring high processing capacity, low moisture content of discharged sludge and compact layout, the unit is mounted on the top of sedimentation tank for convenient inspection. It efficiently collects settled sludge to stabilize clarification performance. Widely used in raw water purification, municipal wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment and sludge treatment projects.


Product Overview

GMG series sludge thickening scraper is specially engineered for square high density sedimentation tanks. The whole machine mainly comprises drive unit, central drive shaft, connection frame, pull rods and sludge thickening assembly. The standard blade lifting height is 150 mm. Available specifications suit square tanks ranging from 6m×6m to 16m×16m. Wetted parts can be manufactured from carbon steel or stainless steel upon raw water quality requirements. Auxiliaries including electrical control cabinet can be supplied optionally as requested.

Working Principle

The top-mounted driving unit transmits torque downwards via the main shaft to drive the connecting frame and scraper assembly to perform rotary movement. Settled sludge on the tank bottom is continuously pushed to the central sludge hopper by scraping components. The integrated thickening assembly achieves in-tank sludge consolidation. Sludge collected in the central hopper is split into two streams: part of the thickened sludge is pumped back to the upstream flocculation zone to sustain the required sludge concentration for flocculation, and the surplus sludge is discharged out of the system. Clear supernatant rises and overflows as final clarified effluent.
