Non-metallic Chain and Flight Sludge Scraper with Continuous Operation Integrated Sludge and Scum Removal for Rectangular Horizontal Flow Sedimentation Tanks
Brief Description
Non-metallic Chain & Flight Sludge Scraper is fabricated from premium raw materials. Drive sprockets and traction chains adopt high-performance non-metallic composite materials. Featuring stable operation and cost-competitive performance, it serves as key equipment for rectangular sedimentation tanks. Capable of removing settled sludge on the tank bottom as well as floating scum on the water surface, it is widely applied in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater and diverse water treatment projects.
Product Overview
Driven by non-metallic closed traction chains, multiple scraper flights circulate continuously in one single direction without reciprocating travel and limit switches. The driving unit is installed on the platform above the tank for convenient power distribution and maintenance. Without heavy load-bearing structural supports inside the tank, the system features low energy consumption. It is equipped with multiple scraper flights to deliver powerful sludge pushing capacity. Low travelling speed minimizes water turbulence to guarantee stable sedimentation performance.

Working Principle
The driving unit actuates the drive sprockets to drive closed non-metallic traction chains for continuous circulation. Multiple scraper flights evenly mounted on the chains continuously push settled sludge along the tank bottom toward the sludge hopper at the inlet zone. Flights are fixedly installed on chains. The lower flights convey sludge on tank bottom, while upper flights can push floating scum on water surface; no flight turnover mechanism is required. Optional scum flights can be equipped to push floating scum to discharge zone, realizing integrated removal of sludge and scum.

1. Equipped with abundant scraper flights for strong sludge scraping capacity; low travelling speed reduces water turbulence and improves
sedimentation effect.
2. Continuous one-way circulating operation inside tank without reciprocating reversal; no travel limit switch required. Drive unit mounted on tank-top platform for convenient wiring and maintenance.
3. Capable of sludge scraping and scum skimming simultaneously without additional independent mechanisms.
4. No heavy structural supports inside the tank, achieving low energy consumption during operation.
Applications
Applicable to rectangular horizontal primary sedimentation tanks, secondary sedimentation tanks, double-deck sedimentation tanks, inclined plate sedimentation tanks and API oil-water separators in municipal wastewater plants and waterworks. It is also suitable for sludge and scum removal of rectangular sedimentation tanks in various industrial wastewater treatment projects. With excellent corrosion resistance, it is especially suitable for coastal areas and wastewater containing corrosive substances.
