Product Overview
Tackling the challenge of fine suspended solids, fibers and particulate removal in tertiary wastewater treatment, water reuse and industrial process applications, our Rotary Drum Micro-screen is a high-efficiency self-cleaning filtration system. Operating via a continuously rotating drum with fine micro-screen panels, it provides consistent high-quality filtrate with minimal operator intervention, offering the ultimate solution for achieving strict effluent compliance standards.
Working Principle
For this horizontal drum filtration unit, influent water enters the open end and spreads evenly throughout the drum interior, passing outward through fine screen panels or wedge wire under low hydraulic head to retain solid contaminants on the inner wall. The drum’s slow rotational movement lifts the trapped solids out of the water, and a row of high-pressure spray nozzles utilizing clean filtrate removes the solids into an internal collection trough at the apex. Treated, clear filtrate is collected in the external effluent chamber, and the washed solid waste is transported for proper disposal.
