Working Principle
Feed water enters the open end of the horizontal drum and distributes uniformly inside, then flows outward through fine screen or wedge wire panels under low hydraulic head to trap solids on the inner wall. The slow drum rotation lifts the retained solids out of the water, where high-pressure spray nozzles utilizing clean filtrate flush the solids into an internal trough at the drum peak; clarified filtrate gathers in the outer effluent chamber, and the separated sludge is routed for disposal.
