Product Overview

Featuring stable clog-free operation, long-lasting wear resistance, minimal mechanical consumption, low energy usage and user-friendly operation, the screw press sludge dewatering machine is an ideal choice for sludge treatment. It resolves the critical technical problems of earlier sludge dewatering machines, such as easy blockage, large floor area, limited processing of low-concentration and oily sludge, high energy consumption and complex operation, achieving efficient and energy-saving dewatering. The machine’s integrated structure consists of a fully automatic control cabinet, flocculation mixing tank, sludge thickening and dewatering main body, and filtrate recovery tank. Under full-automatic operation, it realizes efficient flocculation, performs continuous sludge thickening and dewatering, and ensures collected filtrate is recycled or discharged in compliance with regulations.

 

Working Principle

The screw press sludge dewatering machine is composed of a thickening section and a dewatering section for staged sludge treatment. After gravity thickening in the thickening section, sludge is conveyed to the dewatering section. With the forward movement of sludge, the gradual reduction of filter gaps and screw pitch, as well as the blocking effect of the back pressure plate, forms sufficient internal pressure, continuously compressing the sludge volume and realizing thorough dewatering.

The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates both thickening and dewatering sections, enabling it to handle both high-concentration and low-concentration sludge directly, from thickening to dewatering the concentrated water. It is suitable for a wide range of sludge concentrations, from 2000mg/L to 50000mg/L.

2. Fixed and Moving Rings Replace Filter Cloth, Self-Cleaning, Clog-Free, and Easy to Handle Oily Sludge

Under the rotation of the screw, the moving rings in the screw press sludge dewatering machine continuously shift relative to the fixed rings, achieving a continuous self-cleaning process and avoiding the clogging problems commonly found in traditional dewatering machines. Therefore, it has a strong capacity for handling oily sludge, is easy to separate, and does not clog; moreover, it requires no external water for high-pressure washing, is clean and environmentally friendly, odorless, and produces no secondary sludge.

3. Low-speed operation, low noise, and low energy consumption

The screw press sludge dewatering machine relies on internal pressure for dewatering, eliminating the need for large machines like rollers. Its low operating speed of only 2-3 revolutions per minute results in water and energy savings, as well as low noise. Its average energy consumption is 1/8 that of a belt press and 1/20 that of a centrifuge, with a unit power consumption of only 0.01-0.1 kWh/kg-ds, reducing the operating costs of wastewater treatment systems.
