Product Overview
With key benefits like clog-free operation, excellent wear resistance, minimal mechanical loss, low energy consumption and straightforward operation, the screw press sludge dewatering machine surpasses traditional dewatering equipment. It eliminates the technical deficiencies of earlier models: easy clogging, large size, inability to process low-concentration sludge and oily sludge, high energy consumption and complicated operation, enabling efficient and energy-saving sludge dewatering. Designed as an all-in-one unit, it comprises a fully automatic control cabinet, flocculation mixing tank, sludge thickening and dewatering module, and filtrate tank. Operating in full automation, it achieves high-efficiency flocculation, executes continuous sludge thickening and pressing, and manages filtrate through recycling or compliant emission.
Working Principle
The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates thickening and dewatering functions into one body. Sludge undergoes gravity thickening in the thickening section first, then is pushed forward to the dewatering section. In the forward moving process, the filter gaps and screw pitch decrease gradually, and the back pressure plate blocks the sludge to generate great internal pressure, which shrinks the sludge volume constantly and achieves complete dewatering.

The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates both thickening and dewatering sections, enabling it to handle both high-concentration and low-concentration sludge directly, from thickening to dewatering the concentrated water. It is suitable for a wide range of sludge concentrations, from 2000mg/L to 50000mg/L.
2. Fixed and Moving Rings Replace Filter Cloth, Self-Cleaning, Clog-Free, and Easy to Handle Oily Sludge
Under the rotation of the screw, the moving rings in the screw press sludge dewatering machine continuously shift relative to the fixed rings, achieving a continuous self-cleaning process and avoiding the clogging problems commonly found in traditional dewatering machines. Therefore, it has a strong capacity for handling oily sludge, is easy to separate, and does not clog; moreover, it requires no external water for high-pressure washing, is clean and environmentally friendly, odorless, and produces no secondary sludge.
3. Low-speed operation, low noise, and low energy consumption
The screw press sludge dewatering machine relies on internal pressure for dewatering, eliminating the need for large machines like rollers. Its low operating speed of only 2-3 revolutions per minute results in water and energy savings, as well as low noise. Its average energy consumption is 1/8 that of a belt press and 1/20 that of a centrifuge, with a unit power consumption of only 0.01-0.1 kWh/kg-ds, reducing the operating costs of wastewater treatment systems.
