Product Overview
Our step-type fine screen marks a revolutionary leap in precision screening solutions. Adopting an innovative stepped overlapping sieve plate structure, it boasts exceptional efficiency in separating fine suspended solids, fibrous impurities and sundries from wastewater. Designed with energy-saving operation and low failure rate in mind, it serves as the optimal selection for municipal sewage treatment and industrial processing facilities, perfectly meeting the high-standard pretreatment demands before MBR systems, UV disinfection and water recycling projects.
Working Principle
In contrast to traditional screening equipment, our step-type fine screen is equipped with two groups of staggered and overlapping screen plates with unique step profiles, which carry out independent reciprocating stepping movements respectively.
*Filtration: Wastewater passes through the accurately designed gaps between the fixed and movable plates to complete solid-liquid separation.
*Lifting & Removal: The movable plates gently lift the intercepted impurities upward step by step.
*Discharge: Solids are automatically discharged into the collecting tank at the top, and the cleaned plates return to the filtering area.
This uninterrupted self-cleaning operation effectively avoids blockage and screen blinding, maintaining stable handling capacity and operating efficiency at all times.

Key Design & Performance Features
*Unmatched Clog Resistance: The unique stepping motion and self-cleaning design virtually eliminate clogging and hairpinning—common failures in drum or rake screens. This ensures 24/7 uninterrupted operation, even with challenging, fibrous materials.
*Exceptionally High Filtration Efficiency: Available with fine apertures from 1 mm to 6 mm, it achieves superior capture rates for fine solids, fibers, plastics, and hair, providing optimal protection for downstream equipment.
*Proven Durability & Low Maintenance: Constructed with high-grade stainless steel (SS 304/316) for all critical components. The simple, robust mechanical design has fewer wear parts than competitors, translating to dramatically lower life cycle costs and less downtime.
*Hydraulically Efficient & Compact: The vertical or inclined installation offers a large screening area within a small footprint, resulting in very low head loss and significant energy savings for pumping stations.
*Hygienic & Odor-Free Operation: The complete discharge of solids and absence of stagnant areas or internal dead zones prevent putrefaction and odor generation, making it perfect for food & beverage and pharmaceutical applications.
Applications
*Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants: Provides dependable fine screening at plant headworks, delivers ideal pretreatment for MBR systems, and supports efficient tertiary treatment processes.
*Food & Beverage Sector: Efficiently separates organic fibers, fruit and vegetable peels, packaging debris and other solid contaminants.
*Pulp & Paper Industry: Excels in capturing fine fibrous materials for resource recovery while optimizing process water quality.
*Pumping Stations: Offers robust protection against clogging in stormwater drainage and combined sewer overflow systems.
*General Industrial Pretreatment: Serves as a critical pretreatment solution for automotive, textile, chemical and various manufacturing industries.
