Product Overview
Tailored for tertiary wastewater treatment, water recycling and diverse industrial process applications, our Rotary Drum Micro-screen is a robust, high-efficiency self-cleaning filtration solution that targets fine suspended solids, fibers and particulate matter for thorough removal. Boasting a continuously rotating drum integrated with fine micro-screen panels, it delivers reliable, high-grade filtrate with minimal operator involvement, making it perfectly suited to achieve demanding effluent quality benchmarks.
Working Principle
During operation, influent water enters the open terminal of the horizontal drum and is dispersed uniformly within the drum body, undergoing gravity filtration under a low hydraulic gradient by passing outward through precision screen panels (10–100 micron mesh or wedge wire) to retain solids on the internal surface. The gradual rotation of the drum lifts the captured solids out of the aqueous phase, and a linear array of high-pressure nozzles using clean filtrate ejects the solids into an internal launder at the drum apex. Clarified effluent is accumulated in the outer chamber, while the washed solid residue is conveyed to waste handling systems.

Key Design & Performance Features
1. Simple structure with smooth operation, easy maintenance, and long service life.
2. High-capacity, efficient filtration, achieving over 80% recovery rate for fine suspended solids in wastewater.
3. Compact footprint, cost-effective operation, low-speed running with automatic protection, and easy installation.
4. Fully automated and continuous operation requiring no dedicated personnel; capable of discharging filter cake with a solids concentration exceeding 12%.
5. Can serve as an alternative to coarse filtration equipment such as mechanical bar screens.
Applications
The micro-screen performs stable solid-liquid separation for multiple industrial wastewater types, with the ability to eliminate fine particles larger than about 0.25 mm. It serves as an essential pretreatment step for wastewater generated in papermaking, tanning, slaughtering, brewing, printing and dyeing, textile and chemical processes. It is highly suitable for papermaking white water treatment to realize recycling and closed-loop utilization.
