It addresses the core technical flaws of traditional dewatering devices—such as easy blockage, large floor area, poor adaptability to low-concentration and oily sludge, high energy demand and complex operation—while realizing efficient, energy-conserving dewatering. Boasting a compact integrated design, it incorporates a fully automatic control system, flocculation mixing vessel, sludge thickening and dewatering module, and filtrate collection tank. With fully automated operation, it achieves efficient flocculation reaction, executes continuous sludge thickening and pressing, and disposes collected filtrate via recycling or compliant discharge.
Working Principle
The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates two core functional modules: the thickening segment and the dewatering segment. Sludge is preliminarily concentrated via gravity action in the thickening segment before being transferred to the dewatering segment. In the process of axial advancement, the progressive reduction of filter gaps and screw pitch, together with the resistance from the back pressure plate, creates high internal pressure, continuously shrinking the sludge volume and attaining full dewatering effect.

The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates both thickening and dewatering sections, enabling it to handle both high-concentration and low-concentration sludge directly, from thickening to dewatering the concentrated water. It is suitable for a wide range of sludge concentrations, from 2000mg/L to 50000mg/L.
2. Fixed and Moving Rings Replace Filter Cloth, Self-Cleaning, Clog-Free, and Easy to Handle Oily Sludge
Under the rotation of the screw, the moving rings in the screw press sludge dewatering machine continuously shift relative to the fixed rings, achieving a continuous self-cleaning process and avoiding the clogging problems commonly found in traditional dewatering machines. Therefore, it has a strong capacity for handling oily sludge, is easy to separate, and does not clog; moreover, it requires no external water for high-pressure washing, is clean and environmentally friendly, odorless, and produces no secondary sludge.
3. Low-speed operation, low noise, and low energy consumption
The screw press sludge dewatering machine relies on internal pressure for dewatering, eliminating the need for large machines like rollers. Its low operating speed of only 2-3 revolutions per minute results in water and energy savings, as well as low noise. Its average energy consumption is 1/8 that of a belt press and 1/20 that of a centrifuge, with a unit power consumption of only 0.01-0.1 kWh/kg-ds, reducing the operating costs of wastewater treatment systems.
