Product Overview
Built to perform in the harshest operating conditions, the SL‑Type Water Intake Screen delivers heavy‑duty, mechanical raking performance for high‑volume water intake systems. Engineered to intercept and remove large, stubborn debris efficiently, it acts as a vital frontline barrier, safeguarding pumps, turbines, and key downstream equipment from potential harm caused by logs, vegetation, plastics, and other large solid contaminants.
Working Principle
*Interception: As water passes through the fixed bar screen, large debris is captured and retained on the upstream side.
*Lifting: Debris collected on the screen bars is continuously lifted by a set of rakes mounted on an endless chain system.
*Discharge: Upon reaching the upper end of the unit, rakes automatically release the debris, which drops by gravity into a collection hopper or conveyor for removal.
*Sealed Design: A supplementary bottom screen blocks bypass flow and debris, eliminating leakage and maintaining high overall screening efficiency.
