Product Overview
With outstanding merits including clog-free operation, robust wear resistance, minimal wear loss, low energy consumption and simple operational flow, the screw press sludge dewatering machine outperforms traditional models. It eliminates the inherent technical defects of prior sludge dewatering equipment: easy clogging, large footprint, limited processing capacity for low-concentration and oily sludge, high energy consumption and complicated operation, enabling efficient and energy-saving sludge dewatering. Designed as an integrated system, it consists of a fully automatic control cabinet, flocculation mixing tank, sludge thickening and dewatering mainframe, and filtrate recovery tank. Under full-automatic control, it realizes high-efficiency flocculation, performs continuous sludge thickening and pressing dewatering, and manages collected filtrate through recycling or standard emission.
Working Principle
The screw press sludge dewatering machine consists of thickening and dewatering sections. Sludge is gravity-thickened in the thickening section and then delivered to the dewatering section. As it moves forward, the gradual decrease of filter gaps and screw pitch, plus the back pressure plate’s resistance, generates massive internal pressure, shrinking the sludge volume constantly and completing thorough dewatering.

The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates both thickening and dewatering sections, enabling it to handle both high-concentration and low-concentration sludge directly, from thickening to dewatering the concentrated water. It is suitable for a wide range of sludge concentrations, from 2000mg/L to 50000mg/L.

Under the rotation of the screw, the moving rings in the screw press sludge dewatering machine continuously shift relative to the fixed rings, achieving a continuous self-cleaning process and avoiding the clogging problems commonly found in traditional dewatering machines. Therefore, it has a strong capacity for handling oily sludge, is easy to separate, and does not clog; moreover, it requires no external water for high-pressure washing, is clean and environmentally friendly, odorless, and produces no secondary sludge.
3. Low-speed operation, low noise, and low energy consumption
The screw press sludge dewatering machine relies on internal pressure for dewatering, eliminating the need for large machines like rollers. Its low operating speed of only 2-3 revolutions per minute results in water and energy savings, as well as low noise. Its average energy consumption is 1/8 that of a belt press and 1/20 that of a centrifuge, with a unit power consumption of only 0.01-0.1 kWh/kg-ds, reducing the operating costs of wastewater treatment systems.
