Center Drive Sludge Scraper for Small & Medium Radial Flow Sedimentation Tanks
Brief Description
ZXG Center Drive Sludge Scraper bears all loads of the whole machine at the center of the working bridge. The central driving unit drives the sludge scraping assembly to rotate. The directional scraper blades gather sludge at the tank bottom into the central sludge hopper, and the sludge is discharged out of the hopper by hydrostatic pressure. This equipment is applicable to circular radial flow sedimentation tanks with small and medium diameters.

Working Principle
Wastewater flows evenly to the tank periphery through the central flow stabilizer. As the flow cross-section expands, the flow velocity drops, and suspended solids settle to the tank bottom under gravity. The central drive unit mounted on the top transmits power via the transmission shaft to drive the complete scraper assembly to rotate slowly. Straight scraper blades continuously push settled sludge to the central sludge hopper, and sludge is discharged by hydrostatic pressure. An underwater bearing and auxiliary scraper are installed at the bottom of the vertical shaft to prevent shaft deflection during operation and clear accumulated sludge in the central hopper. The clarified supernatant overflows and flows into the subsequent treatment units.
